From Liverpool I traveled to Ambleside, Lake District. Probably the most gorgeous place I've ever been. Every building and every fence made of stone. It's truly a gorgeous place. The two nights spent along side the lake gave me the chance to catch up with my thoughts, draw, and take some wonderful photographs.
From there I continued down to York. Oh my my what another beautiful place. The beauty in these places is absolutely breathtaking. I found a fantastic Fish and Chip place there in York. Wackers. I was waiting for the right moment to try the fish and chips over here. Wackers proved to be that moment. During this short visit to York I had the chance to enjoy the Castle Museum, Shambles, the River, the Town, and a little cafe by the name of Betty's. The town of York was quaint, peaceful and gorgeous.
My next destination was a whirlwind to get to but I am so glad to be here. Bristol. Took almost a full day to get here due to the train changes, train delays, and train cancellations. Even though I had a one way, no transfer ticket.. Oh well. It was worth the trip. Bristol is absolutely fantastic. From the art to the music to the architecture. There is so much to see here. At the same time no pressure to see it all. The life here appears to be very relaxed and nice. The University is gorgeous. The Suspension Bridge is breathtaking. The towns and cobblestone streets are wonderful. Bristol has brought me great joy. I will be back soon!
Everything I am seeing is a dream becoming reality. It's hard to imagine that just a short while ago everything I see now was only in movies. And that this is what I have been working for, for such a long time. Sometimes you just have to sit back to take it all it.
You make each place you go to sound so lovely! I actually almost moved to Bristol instead of London (dad's company has an office there, and I was going to get a job with them)...it seems so fantastic there, I'll have to visit some time for sure.
