Ode to the Boots.
Just over a week ago, my trip around Northern Europe ended. And packing for an actual flight came. If you know me at all, you know I left home with a full bag. Not to mention a huge full bag. And of course when you're traveling around for over three months you're bound to buy a few things here and there.. well I am at least. So comes the time to fit it all into one bag. I made a rule to myself while packing, to throw away anything that was damaged. Grey Pants, two rips, gone. Black leggings, various rips, gone. Brown boots, the love of my life, probably worn everyday since being here, bent out of shape from water damage (jumping in puddles), worn right down, like walking on cardboard. Gone. It's almost as if a part of me left when I left those boots behind. I'm not even joking. That was the hardest thing I've ever had to let go of. They were the best. It's a good thing (or is it..) I had a plane to hop on hours later. No going back for them. Ode to the boots. You will be greatly missed.
